A few little questions

Wondering
about coming along?

Who are the sessions for?

We’d love to welcome you and your baby, aged 1 month to 13 months, to Nurture Sense!

Classes are designed for babies and their parent or carer, but a second parent is always welcome. You’re also very welcome to bring someone along for support or to share the experience, whether that’s a friend, family member or your health visitor for example. Just let me know when booking so we can accommodate you.

Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate older siblings, as this is a special space for you and your baby to connect.

Twins, triplets or more? Drop Jess an email so we can chat about your needs and make sure everyone feels welcome. Discounts are available for families with multiple births.

What happens in a session?

Each one-hour session offers a gentle mix of songs, stories, guided activities and sensory play, thoughtfully planned to support your baby’s early development.

When you arrive, soft classical music will be playing and there will be a welcoming space for you and your baby in our circle.

We begin each session with our familiar Nurture Song, helping babies develop a sense of familiarity and know what to expect. During our opening circle, we’ll introduce the week’s theme and share a little about early development, alongside songs, stories and playful activities to enjoy together.

Midway through the session, there’s time to explore our carefully chosen resources at your own pace, follow your baby’s interests and connect with other families if you wish.

We’ll then come back together for our closing circle, with more songs, a little baby signing and Welsh language, and simple ideas to take home and enjoy together.

We finish with our Nurture Song, bringing the session to a calm, familiar close.

Does my baby need to join in with everything?

No. This is pressure-free time together. You can respond to your baby’s needs and enjoy the session at their pace.

Where do you meet?

Sessions take place at Pant Memorial Hall on Friday mornings, 9.30 to 10.30. Choose your class block above to open its booking form.

A friendly face

Meet Jess.

Hello! I’m Jess, the founder of Nurture Sense.

I’ve been working with children and families for nearly 20 years, and it has been such a joy and privilege. Over the years I’ve worn many hats — Foundation Phase Teacher, Nursery Manager, Youth Worker, Forest School Leader and Play Worker — each one shaping the way I understand child development, play, and connection.

I hold a master’s degree in Education, along with a range of childcare and playwork qualifications, and I’m passionate about creating meaningful, nurturing experiences for little ones and their grown-ups.

Starting Nurture Sense feels like the perfect next step. I’m so excited to bring all my skills and experience into this new venture — creating a warm, welcoming space where you and your baby can learn, play, and connect at weekly classes.

Thank you for being here and following along. I can’t wait to meet you and your little ones soon.
